What are the send and spend limits?
For personal accounts in Singapore, you can't send or spend more than 100,000 SGD or equivalent from your balances in a fixed 12-month window, starting from 1 April to 31 March of the following year.
There’s a separate 50,000 SGD monthly limit when spending with your Wise card.
There are no send and spend limits for Wise Business accounts — except for the team spending limit.
Transaction limits
For personal customers, there's a default 1,000 SGD transfer limit.
When sending more than this amount, you’ll be able to update the limit immediately during the transfer creation step and continue with the transfer as usual.
You can also adjust your transaction limit by going to Payments and selecting Change transfer limit.
How does Wise calculate my send and spend limits?
Spending with your Wise card or sending certain types of transfers count towards your send and spend limit of 100,000 SGD.
Transactions that count towards your 100,000 SGD limit
All Wise card transactions, including:
Spending with your Wise card
Withdrawing cash at an ATM
Transfers from the Cash held in your Wise balances or Jars to certain recipient types, including:
someone else’s international bank account or their Wise account
domestic (based in Singapore) or international (based overseas) business bank accounts
Transactions that don’t count towards your 100,000 SGD limit
Transfers from the Cash held in your Wise balances or Jars that don’t count towards your limit includes:
someone else’s domestic bank account
your own domestic or international bank account that’s in your name
The following types of payments:
Transfers paid with external accounts, such as your bank account, non-Wise debit card, or PayNow
Transfers paid from your Wise Interest or Stocks balances or Jars.
Balance conversions from Cash to Interest or Stocks, or from Interest or Stocks to Cash
What happens if I exceed the send and spend limit?
If you exceed the send and spend limit of 100,000 SGD, you won’t be able to spend with your Wise card or send money from your Cash balances or Jars to certain recipient types.
Here’s what you can do instead:
pay for your transfer with an external account, such as by bank transfer, debit card, or PayNow — these payment methods don’t count towards your limit
consider switching your SGD or USD balances and Jars to Interest or Stocks — money that you send from your Interest or Stocks balances doesn’t count towards your limit
When do my send and spend limits reset?
Your 100,000 SGD sending and spending limit resets on April 1st each year.
